timelessness

Creaking and groaning the body
Of this makeshift vessel voices
Discontent over waves
Time's terrible monotony

Flapping and billowing the past
Sails puff themselves
Out of proportion, resisting
The anarchy of waves

Invisible and whining the future
Wind whispers
Its anxious song, breath
Of the unknown impregnating
Stammering sails

Is there
Is there a man
Is there a man I ask you
Who would tear his past apart
shred his sails
ignore the wind
abandon ship
To the timeless waves
Who would dare such destruction
Past nor future
The madness of waves

No, not a man
Not a man.
